Student Ministry

Hillcrest Student Ministry exists to educate, equip, and encourage students in 7th – 12th grade with the word of God to carry out the mission of God by spreading His glory throughout all the world (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Eph. 4:11-14; Rom. 15:5). We strive to be a joyful and loving community of young believers who love the Lord and His word and seek to worship God and live in faithful obedience to Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35; 4:24; 14:15).

We accomplish these goals through weekly Bible study and worship, Sunday School small groups, summer camps, mission trips, and other fun and gospel-centered activities. Join us each Wednesday night @ 6:00 and Sunday morning @ 9:15 in the youth room!

UPCOMING EVENTS

DNow: January 23-25, 2026

DNow is a weekend packed with worship, small groups, and Christian fellowship! Our Union County Baptist churches come together to lift our voices in praise to the one true & living God! Students grades 7-12 have the opportunity to participate in this weekend. Click here to register for DNow! Deadline to register is Sunday, January 11.

Student Crossings: June 7-11, 2026

We love Crossings! Crossings seeks to create experiences to proclaim the gospel. Each year we go to Crossings, we have had students profess faith in Christ, crossing over from death to life (John 5:24). Our students form and strengthen relationships with one another, and they hear the gospel proclaimed and are challenged to grow in their relationship with Christ. Click here to pay your deposit! Deposits are due by Sunday, February 22.

Super Summer: July 7-11, 2026

Super Summer is a Christian Leadership camp for high schoolers put on by the MBCB! Students must complete requirements in order to attend Super Summer and must demonstrate leadership among their peers. Students wishing to participate in Super Summer must meet with Jack to go over the requirements and expectations. Click here to pay your deposit! Deposits are due by Sunday, February 22.

WEEKLY & MONTHLY MINISTRY ACTIVITIES

Our students meet each Wednesday night @ 6:30 in the youth room for our Midweek Worship! We come together for a time of fellowship, singing, and Bible study. Bring your Bible, bring a friend, and join us each Wednesday night!

Our students meet on Sunday mornings @ 9:30 for small group Bible Study. Our Sunday School classes are divided by grade & gender and are taught by adults who love the Lord & teenagers. We meet in the youth room around 9:15 for announcements, and then break off into classes around 9:30. Sunday School is important for connecting with other believers and growing in your love & knowledge of God!

We are launching student D-Groups this fall to create an environment of more intentional discipleship in our student ministry. These groups will consist of 3-5 members of the same gender and will be led by a spiritually mature college leader or young adult. These groups will meet weekly throughout the school year and require a disciplined commitment from each member. Sign up to be a part of a D-Group using this form.

Youth on Mission meets the 1st Sunday of each month after worship for the purpose of educating & equipping our students to be engaged with God’s mission. YOM is led by a team of adult leaders who have a passion to help students be involved with missions. After worship, we meet in the Fellowship Hall for lunch, and then we have time of education & involvement with missions. Join us each month for YOM!
